Andrea Eisgruber, PT, DPT, CSCS, CET
Andrea studied English and Biology at Virginia Tech and then received her Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Shenandoah University. Andrea has worked in pediatric rehab and outpatient orthopedics for over 10 years. She specializes in orthopedics with a focus on cancer exercise rehabilitation, lymphedema management, and pelvic health. She has a unique practice style of combing rehabilitation with Pilates and other wellness services to treat the entire patient, not just the injury. Andrea is an advocate for continued health and wellness even after the rehabilitation is complete and enjoys helping her patients achieve that goal.
Andrea is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) through the National Strength and Conditioning Association, a Certified Cancer Exercise Trainer (CET) through the American College of Sports Medicine/American Cancer Society, a Certified Lymphedema Therapist (CLT-UE). She has completed Pilates training through Balanced Body, a Pilates Method Alliance participant, and continues to refine her manual therapy skills through University of St. Augustine.
Andrea is a member of the American Physical Therapy Association, American Physical Therapy Association of Maryland, NSCA, and ACSM. She served 3 years on the National Women’s Committee for the NSCA and currently sits on the Maryland Advisory Board for the NSCA.
Carla Carpenter-Breeding, PT, MPT, CLT-UE
Carla has a Masters of Physical Therapy from Shenandoah University. With over 23 years of experience she has practiced in multiple settings from acute care, school system, and subacute care with her focus of practice in the outpatient setting. Carla enjoys treating all diagnoses but specializes in pelvic health, chronic pain, pediatrics and lymphedema/cancer PT. Carla takes a comprehensive approach to Physical Therapy, helping her patients identify their goals and assists them in optimizing outcomes. When she is not working, Carla enjoys spending time with her 2 sons and husband.
Sarah Flanders, PT, MS
Sarah received her master’s degree in Physical therapy from Ithaca College in Ithaca, NY in 2002. Since then, she has worked in a variety of outpatient physical therapy clinics in New York and Maryland, most recently in Eldersburg, MD. She enjoys the variety of patients you see in a typical clinic, but through continuing education, she has specialized in treating patients with spinal pain, temporomandibular joint dysfunction (TMJ), vertigo/vestibular conditions and concussions. She also has a particular interest in working with dancers and gymnasts, using her personal experience to cater a treatment to those specialized groups.
Jennifer Ziolkowski, PTA
Jenn graduated from Carroll Community College in 2008 with an Applied Science degree and is a board certified Physical Therapist Assistant. She worked in several outpatient orthopedic facilities as a PT Tech prior to obtaining her degree and enjoys treating a wide variety of orthopedic and sports injuries with a particular fondness to runners. Outside of the clinic Jenn loves spending time with her family and pets, traveling, working out and running.
Pilates & Yoga Instructors
Laurel has a B.A. in Psychology from Roanoke College and a Masters of Occupational Therapy degree from Texas Woman’s University. She has been practicing yoga since 2000 and teaching since 2008 for a variety of populations from ages 4 to 94. She completed her 200 hour RYT through YogaFit and enjoys every chance to blend her background in OT with yoga to maximize the benefits for her clients. She practices Occupational Therapy with adult and geriatric populations with a specialty in dementia and healthy aging. She has been married to Mel since 1999 and is a mother of three children. She enjoys the continuous dance that life and yoga provide, always seeking to find balance, through consistent learning and ongoing love.
Lynette brings over 3 decades of fitness expertise to her participants. She is a nationally certified personal trainer, fitness instructor and wellness coach through American College of Sports Medicine and American Council on Exercise. Passionate about helping others achieve optimal wellness, Lynette is known for her encouraging and inclusive style in exercise prescription and nutritional approaches. As a former dancer and figure skater, she can advocate for benefits of barre fitness calling it “a special place where strength meets grace” and is excited to be teaching it at Core Concepts.
Danielle is a certified Health Coach through the Institute for Integrative Nutrition and a certified Personal Trainer. Rather than relying on current “universal” dietary methods, she focuses on unlocking the client’s “bio-individuality” by developing unique and personalized plans tailored around the client’s needs. In addition, Danielle empowers each of her clients through education and support to help them set and achieve realistic goals.
